Paradise Special Event

Our members are active in a wide variety of public service and other activities, and we host a special event station every year in the ghost town of Paradise, Arizona over Labor Day weekend.   The first event was held on Veteran's Day in 1979, but we discovered it was a bit chilly to camp out in the mountains in November, and after also trying it over Columbus Day weekend we eventually settled on Labor Day as the best time for this our annual event. For those who make contact with us between 3 SEP until 1800Z on 5 SEP, a certificate is available by sending an 8 1/2x11" SASE to Cochise ARA, P.O. Box 1855 Sierra Vista, AZ  85650-1855.  Certificates will be sent out in the last week of October.
